<![CDATA[To DenoteĀ andĀ Connote]]>Tue, 22 May 2012 20:58:33 -0800http://www.bramman111.com/1/post/2012/05/to-denoteandconnote.htmlTo denote is to give the denotation of something, being the definition or absolute meaning.
To connote is to give the connotation of something, being it's symbolism or abstract meaning.
This has been a tidbit (A short, irrelevant, and often unnecessary fact or... OK I'll stop).

<![CDATA[New but Not Really Newsworthy]]>Sat, 19 May 2012 15:44:06 -0800http://www.bramman111.com/1/post/2012/05/new-but-not-really-newsworthy.htmlFirst off, my benevolent Weebly overlords have updated the blog settings and allowed for the removal of the share buttons. YAY. A lot of other stuff has improved too, but this is the main point that I am very, very, happy about.
In other news, I'm still playing Battlefield 3 (Multiplayer, the campaign is still awful), and I'm having quite a bit of fun.
Diablo III has begun. I don't play Diablo, but for those of you who do I hope you're having fun with the always-online DRM.
And that's about it. I haven't really been doing much lately. I'm so fascinating.

<![CDATA[Ducent]]>Sun, 06 May 2012 23:06:44 -0800http://www.bramman111.com/1/post/2012/05/ducent.htmlDucent (DOO-kehnt) is the title I have now given to the pet-project of my pet-writing-project. Ducent is a basic computing language on the same level as binary, but uses...
OK, I first have to make clear that this is 100% mcguffin. I could never in my life make anything remotely like this. I'm an artist, not a <s>doctor</s>* engineer.
Anywho, it uses multiple levels of nesting sets of sets of sets of characters... Ok, let me restart.
The first and most basic level contains one of three possible characters.
The second level is a set of six of these characters.
The third level is a set of twelve sets of six.
The third level is a set of twenty four sets of twelve.
The fourth level is a set of forty eight sets of twenty four.
And the fifth level is a set of ninety six sets of forty eight.
Again, total mcguffins, and mostly just for fun. If you're wondering, yes I was greatly inspired by Notch's recent 0x10^c stuff.
*So much for me relying on HTML.

You have been warned.
Secondly, I know it's Karkand, but I always say Karkland because of all of those Kirkland jokes.
Thirdly, it's pretty good. Strike at Karkand is now one of my new favorite maps, and I haven't played the other three yet, Because I need just a half hour or so more on Karkand to get the PP-19. As for the other four weapons I have unlocked, I've only used the FAMAS and I have to say it's not bad. The ironsights are impossible to use, but other than that it's basically my type of weapon. of course, I'm sticking to my G3A3, but I may use it someday for something...
And that's that. When I've played more of the Karkand expansion I'll probably make another post.

<![CDATA[FIXED IT]]>Wed, 11 Apr 2012 16:59:38 -0800http://www.bramman111.com/1/post/2012/04/fixed-it.htmlHad a problem with the heat-sync on my new CPU. Fixed now, hopefully it wont overheat while I'm playing Mirrors Edge anymore.
Also, 8 gigs of ram are way more than I'll ever use. DON'T CARE STILL COOL.]]>
<![CDATA[Knife to Meet You]]>Sat, 07 Apr 2012 16:55:12 -0800http://www.bramman111.com/1/post/2012/04/knife-to-meet-you.htmlThat's the punchline I use sometimes when I knife people in BF3.
Anywho, just wanted to let you guys know that it's pretty cool how many people still read my blog. I'm assuming most of you use the RSS feed thing, or have some other sort of syndicating service, because the views for this site jumped when I started posting last week.
No matter the case, I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to read these posts.
Because I think they're kinda dumb.
And pointless.
Oh well, life goes on.

Wana argue against that?
OK.
I have my opinions, you have yours.
